Coolpad today, launched the Coolpad Cool M7 smartphone at an event in China. The company has priced the smartphone at CNY 2,699 (Roughly Rs. 25,900). The device will be sold exclusively on JD.com a Chinese e-commerce website which has already started taking pre-orders and will start the sale on August 26. Coolpad has launched the Cool M7 in Matte Black and Blue colour options. It has a slim metal unibody design along with a single camera setup on the back. The home button located up front also houses the fingerprint sensor, and the volume rockers and the power button are located on the right side of the device. The phone utilises a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer located at the bottom. The device also has retained the 3.5mm audio jack which most of the companies are trying to get rid of at the top of the device.
As for the specifications, The Coolpad Cool M7 smartphone runs on the Google’s latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system with Coolpad’s Cool UI skin on top. It features a 5.5-inch full HD display with 2.5D curved glass protection. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 octa-core chipset clocked at 2GHz paired with Adreno 506 GPU. The device comes with 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of Internal Storage. All of this is backed by a 3,200mAh non-removable battery.
As for the camera, the Coolpad Cool M7 comes featuring a 12-megapixel primary camera sensor from Sony (The IMX362) along with a f/1.8 aperture with dual LED flash. On the front, you get a 13-megapixel selfie shooter with a f/2.2 aperture. As for connectivity, it features 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS + GLONASS, and USB 2.0 Type-C.
Currently, Coolpad has not disclosed as to when they will be launching the device in international markets including India. However, Coolpad on August 20 is going to launch their flagship for 2017 globally at an event in Dubai.
