Asus expanded its Republic of Gamers (ROG) portfolio with a new gaming laptop, desktop and accessories at CES 2018. The new lineup consists of Strix SKT T1 Hero Edition laptop, Strix GL12 desktop and Strix Flare mechanical keyboard. Asus said the latest ROG lineup is aimed at offering more immersive gaming experience to users.
Starting with the Asus ROG Strix SKT T1 Hero Edition, it packs an Intel Core i7 processor and Nvidia GeForce GTX 10-Series graphics. It is designed for Multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) gaming.
Asus ROG Strix GL12 desktop, meanwhile, is designed specially for e-sports. It has transparent side panel and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 graphics to offer. Last but not the least, it’s accompanied by Aura Sync RGB lighting, something gamers can customise according to their mood.
Asus ROG Strix Flare RGB mechanical gaming keyboard, on the other hand, has customisable style with individually backlit Cherry MX RGB switches. It also houses dedicated media keys for complete in-gaming control, and of course, it supports Aura Sync lighting.
Asus also introduced ROG Aura Terminal addressable RGB controller with ROG Halo feature, and the Bezel-free Kit display accessory for immersive gaming experience.
New ROG Aura Terminal and ROG Spotlight accessories support Aura Sync to be more in line with a wide range of devices. As a result, gamers create system effects with customisable lighting.
Asus Aura Sync appears to have upgraded, courtesy of Aura SDK program to let software developers and hardware partners experiment more with the features. However, Asus has not yet revealed the price or availability details about any of these devices.
