In this day and age, prepaid users are rejoicing due to the highly attractive and affordable plans on offer. At the same time, the postpaid users are filled with wrath for being ignored. To bridge the gap between both the users, telecom providers are finally launching better plans for the postpaid users. This is just what Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has done today with its new Rs 1,595 plan.
Under this new plan, the company is offering its users unlimited voice calls along with unlimited data that too without any FUP for a month. That means users can go ahead and not care about any extra charges showing up on their bills. However, the SMS offered in this plan are limited. Under this plan users will get a total of 250 SMS per billing cycle. Though the number seems a little lower as compared to the competition, I don’t think many would complain about that as bulk of the messaging has shifted to instant messengers like WhatsApp.
The Rs 1,595 plan listed on BSNL’s official website states that the plan is valid across the country and isn’t for any specific region. If a new user is interested in this plan, he will have to pay a security deposit of Rs 500 which will be returnable.
While companies like Reliance Jio, Airtel and Vodafone with their unlimited plans offer free additional services like digital content subscriptions, BSNL has stayed away from any such services and is offering only the basics.
