Asus Zenfone V is released in the U.S. following the Zenfone 4 series launch in India. The new upcoming flagship smartphone is listed on the official Asus U.S. website, showing all its features and specifications. The device bears the model number V520KL and is exclusive to Verizon. However, Asus is yet to reveal more details with regards to its price and availability.
The key attraction, Asus Zenfone V boasts of all the flagship-level specifications. Powering it is Qualcomm’s high-end Snapdragon 820 SoC with 14nm CPU clocked at 2.15GHz, Adreno 530 GPU for graphics, and 4GB of RAM. On the storage front, it comes with 32GB of internal memory (expandable up to 256GB). However, the storage is expected to be higher when it launches in other markets like India.
The front gets hold of a 5.2-inch Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) AMOLED screen with 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Furthermore, it results in 424 PPI pixel density and 74.8% screen-to-body ratio. Design-wise, it flaunts a multi-dimensional unibody featuring 7.6mm in thickness and weighing 147g. Up front, there’s a fingerprint scanner which also acts like a button.
As far as photography is concerned, Asus Zenfone V houses a 23MP main camera with laser autofocus optical image stabilization (OIS), f/2.0 aperture, and dual-tone LED flash. It can record up to 4K videos with 3-axis Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). Up front, there’s an 8MP selfie shooter with modes and features like Low Light, Real Time Beautification, GIF Animation, and Panorama Selfie, etc.
The dual-SIM Asus Zenfone V supports the standard set of connectivity options like dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and more. What completes the overall package is a 3,000mAh battery under the hood. It remains to be seen whether Asus Zenfone V comes to India anytime soon.
