Asus has launched a new smartphone Asus ZenFone Live at an event in India today. Priced at Rs. 9,999, the smartphone will go on sale from May 24, i.e., today via offline and online retailers.
The big highlight of the Asus ZenFone Live is its live beautification app called the BeautyLive that removes any blemishes on face in real-time. Asus touts the new Asus ZenFone live to be the world’s ‘first’ smartphone that feature hardware-optimised, real-time beautification technology for livestreaming videos.
Speaking about its specifications, the smartphone sports a 5-inch HD IPS display with 720×1280 resolution. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB storage. The storage can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
As for the optics, the ZenFone Live comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with PixelMaster technology, f/2.0 aperture, autofocus, LED flash. In the front, the phone has a 5-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture, 1.4-micron pixel size, soft LED flash. The front camera also offers a few modes- Manual, Low light, Night and Selfie mode. The device also features dual MEMS microphones that will clear noise in the background and five-magnet speaker with the smart amp.

The Asus ZenFone Live carries a battery backup of 2,650mAh. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with company’s own ZenUI 3.5 skin layered on top. The dual-SIM smartphone supports 4G LTE. Connectivity options on the phone include- Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, WiFi Direct, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, micro USB port and 3.5mm audio jack. The Asus ZenFone Live measures 141.2×71.74×7.95mm and weighs 120 grams. It supports accelerometer, e-compass, proximity and ambient light sensor.
