While recent reports claim Asus has been working on the new ZenFone 4 line-up, one of those devices, the Asus ZenFone 4V is reported to be unveiled in Europe on 21 September. The event will take place in Rome, Italy, as per the report. The information came courtesy of the popular leakster, Roland Quandt, who tweeted out a teaser of an Asus smartphone launch with a dual camera setup. When taking a closer look at the teaser it exposes to two phones, out of which, one is having a dual camera setup. The Asus ZenFone 4V may include a wide-angle lens as the quote on the image tweeted by Quandt says “Take a walk on the wide side”.
Initially, Asus had plans to launch the whole Zenfone 4 series during the annual Computex trade show in May where they usually unveil their devices. But the company’s CEO told a reporter from DigiTimes, a Taiwanese website, that the first device from the ZenFone 4 family will be launched by July end. But due to some “design overhaul and efficiency upgrades”, the company had to change their decisions.
The Asus Zenfone 4V is being reported to have the model number (V520KL/A006), rumours suggest that the device can be a Verizon Exclusive variant. The smartphone is a newly introduced device to the Zenfone 4 family. Along with the 4v, the company is also said to launch four more smartphones, namely the ZenFone 4 Pro, ZenFone 4 Selfie, ZenFone 4 Max and ZenFone 4.
