Asus last month unveiled its new Zenfone 4 series bringing a slew of smartphones at an event in Taiwan. The Taiwanese smartphone maker is now gearing up to launch these handsets in India. Asus has started sending press invite for a smartphone launch event that is scheduled to take place in New Delhi on September 14.

The invite notes the launch of Asus latest smartphones series which quite likely indicates the unwrapping of the Zenfone 4 series. For a quick recap, the company launched six smartphones last month at the Zenfone 4 series global event. However, it still remains to be seen whether Asus will bring the entire new Zenfone 4 lineup or select handsets to India.
Talking about the devices, the Zenfone 4 and Zefone 4 Pro offers dual rear camera setup. The Zenfone 4 Selfie and Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro are selfie-centric smartphones that comes under mid-range category. The Asus Zenfone 4 Max and Zenfone 4 Max Pro meanwhile boasts mammoth size batteries.

Asus Zenfone 4 and Zenfone 4 Pro

The key attribute of the Zenfone 4 and Zenfone 4 Pro is its dual rear cameras. The Zenfone 4 features a 12-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 4-axis optical image stabilisation and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with 120-degree wide-angle lens. The Zenfone 4 Pro meanwhile lens gets a 12-megapixel Sony IMX362 sensor with large 1.4µm pixels, f/1.7 aperture, 4-axis image stabilisation, optical stabilisation and a 16-megapixel Sony IMX351 secondary sensor paired with an f/2.6 aperture for 2x optical zoom and bokeh effect.
The Zenfone 4 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 while the Zenfone 4 comes with Snapdragon 630 SoC under the hood. Both the devices carry almost similar design and display resolution.

Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie and Selfie Pro
As the name itself suggests, the Zenfone 4 Selfie and Selfie Pro are selfie-centric smartphones that offer decent specifications. The Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro carries a 12MP dual front camera setup with dedicated LED flash module and f/1.7 aperture. The generic Zenfone 4 Selfie meanwhile comes with a dual front cameras having a 20-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture and 8-megapixel secondary sensor and 120-degree wide-angle lens. The design lanugauge on both devices is almost similar.

Asus Zenfone 4 Max and Max Pro
The USP of the Zenfone 4 Max and Max Pro is its big battery. Both devices house a massive 5000mAh battery that is said to deliver two days of usage. The handsets also boast dual rear camera setup.

Pricing
The premium Asus Zenfone 4 Pro was launched for a price starting at $599 (roughly Rs. 38,430). The Zenfone 4 pricing starts at $399 (around Rs. 25,600). Meanwhile the Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro and the Zenfone 4 Selfie starts at $379 (around Rs. 24,310) and $279 (roughly Rs. 17,900) respectively. Pricing for the Zenfone 4 Max and Zenfone 4 Max Pro were not unveiled the global launch event. As far as the Indian pricing is concerned, we expect these handsets (if the entire line-up is unwrapped) to come for more or less the same as the global price.
