Asus new smartphone AsusX00GD gets certified from the Chinese telecommunication authority, TENAA. As per the listing, the device is said to be the first smartphone from Asus that will come with Android Nougat 7.0 out-of-the box. The smartphone features a 5.2-inch HD display with 1280×720 resolution. The device is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. The phone will come in three RAM variants- 2GB, 3GB, and 4GB. The internal storage options include-16GB, 32GB and 64GB which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.

Asus X00GD house a 4,850 mAh battery. The phone weighs 169.5 grams and measures 149.5×73.7×8.85 mm. Asus X00GD will be available in three colour variants- Luxurious gold, rose gold and black. Sensor options include- Gravity sensor, Proximity sensor, and Light sensor. The handset supports Bluetooth and USB. The price and availability of the new Asus smartphone however, is not shared by the company yet.

As Asus has confirmed the company will host its ‘Zennovation’ press conference at CES 2017 in Las Vegas, it is likely expected the Taiwanese computing giant company to launch two smartphones under its Zen series at the event. One could be the ZenFone 3 Zoom, which will feature a high-end dual camera module. Another smartphone could be possibly the Tango-enabled smartphone which is labeled as ZenFone AR. Asus CEO Jerry Shen himself confirmed about the launch of ZenFone AR. After Lenovo Phab 2 Pro which recently went up for sale in U.S, the ZenFone Ar will be the second smartphone to come with Tango-enabled feature.
