Asus has launched its Zen series smartphone Asus Zenfone 3 Max in India today. The Zenfone 3 Max sports a massive 4,100 battery and comes at a starting price of Rs 12,999. The phone will be launched in two screen size variants- 5.2-inch and the 5.7-inch. The 5.7-inch variant is tagged with an expensive price of Rs 17,999.

The Zenfone 3 series include Zenfone 3 Deluxe, Zenfone 3 Ultra and Zenfone 3 Laser, the new Zenfone 3 Max is an addition to the series. The new smartphone features a metal unibody design with 2.5D glass. As the device house a massive battery, company claims that the phone will provide 38 days of standby time and 17 hours of talktime.

The Zenfone 3 Max will have reverse charging support and will double up as a power bank to charge other devices.

Asus Zenfone 3 Max features a full HD display. The 4G VoLTE enabled smartphone is powered by 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor paired with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The Zenfone 3 Max 5.2-inch variant that sports an HD (720×1280 resolution) display, is powered by quad-core MediaTek MT6737T processor clocked at 1.25GHz with 3GB RAM.

The Zenfone 3 Max 5.7-inch version features a 16-megapixel camera with phase detection auto-focus (PDAF), laser auto-focus and aperture f/2.0. the front has an 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture and comes with Beautification mode. Both the front and rear camera can record videos in full HD resolution.

The 5.2-inch variant sports 13-megapixel camera and a 5-megapixel front camera.

Asus Zenfone 3 Max runs Android v6.0.1 Marshmallow with company’s ZenUI 3.0 layer atop it. The dual-SIMs smartphone supports micro and nano SIM cards and come with hybrid SIM slot. The device has a finger-print sensor embedded on the real panel of the smartphone. Connectivity options include- Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS and AGPS.

The Zenfone 3 Max will be available in three colour variants- Titanium Gray, Glacier Silver and Sand Gold colour.
