Asus last month introduced the dual camera smartphone- Zenfone 4 Max under its latest Zenfone 4 series in Russia. Taiwanese company now seems to be preparing to unveil a batch of new smartphones under its new Asus Zenfone 4 series. The invite first spotted by Android Police reveals the time and venue where Asus is likely to take the wraps off handsets from its new Zenfone 4 line-up.

The ‘save the date’ invite shows August 19 timeline with the event set to place at SMX Convention Centre in Pasay, Philippines. Asus could possibly introduce the Zenfone 4 Pro, Zenfone 4 Selfie or Zenfone 4V. The promo images unveiled earlier by Asus confirm that the new Zenfone 4 series would emphasize on dual cameras. Reports suggest that one among these handsets, under the new line-up, the Zenfone 4 Pro might feature a dual camera with optical zoom similar to Zenfone 3 Zoom. The phone is expected to pack high-end features including Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB of RAM and at least 64GB inbuilt storage.

Besides the Zenfone 4 Pro, Zenfone 4 Selfie was also seen listed with model name Z01M. The phone is tipped to feature a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display and run Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The device is said to be powered by Snapdragon 625 chipset paired with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage. In terms of imaging, the Zenfone 4 Selfie is expected to carry a 16-megapixel sensor on the back and a 12-megapixel sensor up front.

Notably, Asus new Zenfone 4 series initial launch timeline was slated for July, but the company had to hold them back due to last minute design overhaul and efficiency upgrades, as per reports. Now while Asus has supposedly (the company has removed the invite from its official forum site, though) set a date for its smartphone launch event, we will have to wait and see which variants it would unwrap.
