Europe consumer’s electronic trade show is a huge platform where hundreds of tech companies gather up to showcase technology innovations. The Taiwanese tech company, Asus, also took the stage at the IFA 2017 annual event and introduced Republic of Gamers (Asus gaming arm) Chimera, the world’s first gaming laptop with a 144Hz display.

The ROG gaming laptop features an ultra-responsive 17.3-inch full HD display with G-SYNC technology. It is powered by Intel Core i7-7820HK processor that Asus claims to reach speed of up to 43-GHz. The ROG Chimera comes with Windows 10 and carries NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 GPU on the inside, that will allow gaming aficionados to settle in high intensive games. Interestingly Asus has integrated Xbox Wireless support on to this new laptop. To add to the excitement, the company has inserted a dedicated Xbox button that brings user directly to the Windows 10 Xbox app.

Asus also brought ROG Zephyrus an ultra-book style laptop that bears a sleek body and features NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics with Max-Q design, Intel Core i7 processor, an optional 120Hz wide-view display; the ROG Active Aerodynamics System to maintain “powerful cooling and unbeatable acoustic efficiency”, and an RGB keyboard.

Apart from this amazing laptops that is meant for hard-core gamers, Asus has recast its ROG Strix gaming laptops in two different editions-

ROG Strix SCAR Edition

The ROG Strix SCAR Edition is designed for FPS (first-person shooter) gamers who look for a “competitive edge”. The laptop integrates the newest eight-generation Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX10 Series graphics. The new Strix laptop offers a desktop-style keyboard layout, fast-actuation keys, and N-key rollover to provide absolute precision during the game.

ROG Strix Hero Edition

The ROG Strix Hero Edition packs the same Intel Core i7 processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10 Series graphics and Windows 10 Pro, however it trades FPS specs over MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena). The laptop comes with a wide-view display with 100 percent sRGB colour gamut to retain better contrast and colour accuracy. It also has a 20 million key-press lifecycle on its desktop style keyboard.

ROG Strix GL503 and GL703

The ROG Strix GL503 and GL703 are claimed to be all-around performers, featuring 15-inch and 13-inch displays respectively. The laptops are powered by Intel Core i7 processor, NVIDIA GeForce 1060 graphics and Windows 10 Pro. Both the laptops carry up to 32GB of DDR4 2400MHz memory and include a VR-ready GeForce GTX 1060 GPU offering an immersive VR experience.

ROG Strix GL702VI and GL702ZC

Another laptop in ROG Strix series is the Strix GL702VI that features NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics, Windows 10 Pro, the latest 7th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, a tremendous 120Hz G-SYNC panel, and a four-zone Aura RGB keyboard. The ROX Strix GL702ZC meanwhile is touted to be the first gaming laptop to sport AMD Ryzen 7 processor. The Strix GL702ZC sports a 17-inch wide-view display, and an “anti-ghosting” backlit keyboard for accurate control.

ROG Desktop

The ROG GT51 quoted to be an extremely powerful gaming desktop packs a 4.8GHz Intel Core i7-7700K processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 2-way SLI, and 64GB of fast DDR4 2800MHz memory and deliver stutter-free 4K UHD visual experience. It includes Aegis III three-way overclocking technology that enable easy and safe processor, graphics card and memory overclocking, all-round gaming experience.

The laptop is powered by the latest 7th Generation Intel Core i7 processors, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080Ti graphics, and a plug-and-play and hot-swap 2.5-inch SSD module that is idyllic for esports. The Strix GD30 also includes Aegus III software and offers Aura RGB lighting effects.

Apart from launching laptops and desktops under its gaming arm, Asus also brought ROG display- ROG Swift PG27VQ, ROG Strix XG35VQ and ROG motherboards that include- ROG Zenith Extreme, ROG Rampage VI Extreme, one-touch intelligent overclocking ROG Strix X399-E Gaming, and ROG Strix X299-E Gaming that offer SupremeFX audio for “deeper in-game immersion”.
