If you were planning to buy Apple iPhone or Apple Watch in India anytime soon, we have a bad news for you. Technology giant, Apple has increased prices of iPhone and Watch devices by up to 8.3 percent. The move comes less than a week after the government of India announced customs duty hike on imported mobile phones from the current 15 percent to 20 percent.
Starting with Apple iPhone 6, it now starts at Rs 31,900 for the base variant, a jump of Rs 1,120 from Rs 30,780 and goes up to Rs 42,900 as compared to Rs 41,550 previously. Apple iPhone 6s starts at Rs 52,100, as compared to 50,660 earlier. Meanwhile, Apple iPhone 6s Plus starts at a price of Rs 52,240, up from the previous Rs 50,740 and goes all the way up to Rs 61,450, up from the earlier Rs 59,860.
As for Apple iPhone 7, it now starts at Rs 52,370 for the base variant and goes up to Rs 61,560. Similarly, Apple iPhone 7 Plus price starts at Rs 62,840 and goes all the way up to Rs 72,060. Last year’s iPhone 8, 8 Plus and iPhone X are no different. Apple iPhone 8 is now selling at the starting price of Rs 67,940 and goes up to Rs 81,500. Apple iPhone 8 Plus is priced starting at Rs 77,560 and climbs up to Rs 91,110.
Last but not the least, Apple iPhone X is now up for grabs starting at Rs 95,390 and goes up to Rs 1,05,720. Notably, Apple iPhone SE prices remain unchanged.
Apple, on the other hand, has also increased Apple Watch Series 3 prices including the Nike+ edition. Apple Watch Series 3 GPS 38mm now costs Rs 32,380 whereas Apple Watch Series 3 GPS 42mm is now priced at Rs 34,410, a jump of over 8 percent.
