Many reports have pointed toward the fact that Apple will be launching a total of three smartphones on September 12. The alleged three smartphones are the Apple iPhone 8, iPhone 7S and the iPhone 7S Plus. Today, a new report from 9to5Mac has come up stating that out of the three phones, the iPhone 7S might be called the iPhone Edition. The report also stated that what we were thinking will be the iPhone 7 Plus will be the iPhone 8 Plus. 9to5Mac states that the information was given to them by case makers who got the information from Foxconn. The case makers had to rename the SKUs in accordance with the nomenclature. We do recommend you to take this news with a pinch of salt as previously all of the reports had stated that the iPhone 8 will be the iPhone Anniversary Edition, and Apple is yet to launch the devices.
Apple recently sent out invites for a launch event which will be held on September 12. This is where the company will be launching all of its new iPhone. This might also be true as 9to5Mac claims their source to be based out of Shenzen, where the phone is actually being manufactured.
