Xiaomi Redmi Pro was a premium mid-range smartphone that offered OLED display and dual-rear camera. The original Redmi Pro was launched in China last year. However, a new rumour is buzzing around Xiaomi’s alleged Redmi Pro’s successor Redmi Pro 2. The news comes from the Chinese website Weibo that reveals image of the alleged Redmi Pro 2 smartphone.
The image was first spotted by Playfuldroid and suggest that smartphone might come in two different variants – a 64GB model that will be paired with 4GB of RAM, and another variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal memory.
The leak image hints that the alleged Redmi Pro 2 will sport a 5.5-inch full-HD display with an OLED panel. While the original Redmi Pro came with a dual rear camera setup, the leak image displays the alleged successor to come with single rear camera module with dual pixel autofocus. The rear camera will reportedly feature a 12-megapixel sensor with a Sony IMX362 sensor and 1.4µm pixel.
The purported image also reveals that the alleged Redmi Pro 2 will pack a 4,500 mAh battery, an upgrade to its predecessor Redmi Pro that carried a 4,050 mAh battery. The alleged phone is tipped to be powered by ‘yet to be’ announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 66x System on Chip (SoC).
As per the leak image, the alleged Redmi Pro 2 will come for a cost of CNY 1599 (approximately Rs. 16,000) for the 64GB variant, while the 128GB model will come with a price tag of CNY 1799 (roughly Rs. 18,000).
