Airtel now offers up to 40% more data on certain prepaid plans to compete with Jio. As a result, we can now see a revised Airtel Rs 199 plan that offers 1.4GB high-speed daily data in addition to unlimited local, STD and roaming calls and 100 SMS per day. If you recall, Airtel Rs 199 previously offered 1GB data per day, resulting in 40% jump overnight. Jio provides a similar plan with 1.5GB daily data at the price of Rs 198. Both the plans are valid for 28 days.
Similarly, Airtel Rs 349 plan is now updated with 2.5GB daily data as opposed to 2GB from earlier, resulting in an increment of 25%. Other benefits like unlimited calls and daily 100 SMS remain the same. Jio Rs 349 plan, on the other hand, provides 1GB daily data but for a longer validity of 70 days. Airtel Rs 349 plan remains valid for 28 days itself. At the end, both the plans end up of offering 70GB data in their stipulated period.
Meanwhile, Airtel Rs 448 plan offers 1.4GB daily data, which is 40% more than what they used to offer. However, the plan is valid for 82 days. None of these revisions appear enough for Airtel plans to beat Jio’s, which offers 1.5GB of data and 84 days of validity for the same Rs 448 price tag. If we compare, Jio Rs 448 plan has a clear winner on their hand with 11.2GB more data than Airtel’s.
Last but not least, Airtel Rs 509 plan appears be a winner here for offering 1.4GB data with a validity of 90 days, resulting in a total 126GB data. Despite offering 3GB daily data for Rs 509, Jio’s plan falls behind the competition due to a short-term validity of 28 days, resulting in 84GB data.
