To counter Reliance Jio, Airtel has once again come up with lucrative offer for its consumers. The telecom major is offering 1000GB free data to its customers on select broadband plans. The ‘Exclusive Web Offer’ can be availed by consumers on the company’s web portal. This offer is available for new users in Delhi /NCR who have enrolled for Airtel broadband services on or after May 16.

The company is offering 1000GB of bonus data for 1 year on the following plans- Rs. 1,099 plan that include 90GB of data and offers up to 40Mbps speed. Airtel Rs. 1,299 plan offers 100Mbps and 125GB data. Rs. 1,499 and Rs. 1,799 plans bring along 160GB and 220GB data respectively and provide up to 100Mbps speed. The lowest plan which cost Rs. 899 will give users 750GB data. All these plans offer unlimited local and STD calls as well. To keep in mind, this offer is available only for those users who avail the broadband plans online. Further, the bonus data won’t be carried forward to the next month even if it is not used.

Notably, Airtel earlier this month had refreshed its broadband plans and offered 100 per cent additional data to Airtel home broadband users under its new monthly rental plans. Under the new plans, users could avail 60GB broadband data at Rs. 899 compared to 30GB offered earlier. Airtel Rs. 1,099 plan will give 90GB data, up from 50GB provided earlier. The updated Rs. 1,299 plan now offers 12GB compared with 75GB earlier. The ‘premium’ Rs. 1,499 plans will give customers 160GB instead of 100GB it offered earlier.

Airtel’s latest broadband scheme could call for a major threat to Reliance Jio new Fibrenet broadband service which is reportedly under testing in five major cities. Reliance Jio’s broadband services is expected to be launched with a preview offer.
