Bharti Airtel has now added 10 regional languages to it’s *121# Digital Care platform. The telecom operator on Friday rolled out the self-care service for its prepaid users. The *121# Digital Care service will support Hindi and 10 more regional languages that include Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Gujarati, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu.
By using the *121# Digital Care service, prepaid users will be able to access information related to their balance, validity and more by simply dialing *121# on their mobile phone. Airtel says that the addition of regional language support will make the self-care service “more accessible for millions of Airtel prepaid mobile customers across the country.”
“This is yet another innovation from Airtel for the Indian market and will add to the overall service delivery experience. *121# Digital Care is already popular among our prepaid customers given its ease of use, convenience and the introduction of regional languages will further lower the barrier to self-care adoption for basic information. The growing penetration of mobile devices with regional language support will accelerate the adoption of this platform,” Sarang Kanade, Director – Customer Experience, Bharati Airtel said.
Notably, this prepaid self-care service from Airtel is free and does not require any internet connection. Besides the *121# Digital Care Platform can be used in both, smartphones and feature phones. The new platform with multiple languages can also give information related to some ongoing offers and trigger the VAS (Value Added Services). All this can be done simply without struggling to contact the customer care.
