Reliance Jio announced their new recharge plans just a couple of days ago, which offer unlimited data, voice calls, and more validity. The move comes in the wake of Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan offer, which is about to end soon. However, the offer’s benefits can still be leveraged, thanks to a new Rs 399 plan, which offers unlimited calls and SMSes in addition to 1GB data per day for 84 days. Meanwhile, Aircel has announced a similar plan to compete with Jio’s Rs 399 plan. As part of the offer, Aircel users will now be offered unlimited calls and 1GB data per day for 84 days. Interestingly, the recharge plan provided by Aircel costs Rs 348, which is Rs 51 less than what Jio is offering its users. However, the plan is limited to users residing in UP East area.
Aircel’s Rajiv Gupta, who is serving as Circle Business Head – UP (East), said: “FRC 348 is by far the best value proposition in the market as the offer is open for all customers with all types of handsets be it 2G, 3G or 4G. This pack is specially designed considering the customers’ need for accessing high volumes of data to connect with their family members through video chatting seamlessly, social networking or streaming videos as well as making voice calls without worrying about their balance.”
The catch, however, is that Aircel plan dubbed FRC 348 offers 3G speeds. Jio, on the other hand, claims to provide 4G speed. That aside, all other benefits remain the same. Aircel prepaid customers can avail free voice calling, which includes both local and STD. There are no limits as far as voice calling is concerned. Since Aircel has mentioned that the recharge plans are all about allowing users access data to connect with others over video calling and social networking, the company is expected to arrive with more such plans soon.
