Xiaomi has sold over 2.5 lakh Redmi 4A in today’s flash sale. The Chinese company launched it’s entry level Redmi 4A budget earlier this week and the first flash sale was today at 12pm on Amazon and Mi.com.
Manu Kumar Jain, Xiaomi’s VP, took on Twitter to announce the sale achievement by noting that the company sold more than 2,50,000 Redmi 4A units in 4 minutes in which Amazon saw around 5 million hits per minute and peak 1500 orders per second.

The 2.5 lakhs sale numbers are combined for both official e-commerce platforms Amazon and Mi.com. The next flash sale will be on Thursday, March 30th at 12 noon.
Xiaomi launched the Redmi 4A at a price of Rs. 5,999. The smartphone was first launched in China in November last year, where it retails for 499 Yuan (roughly Rs. 5000). The company says that Redmi 4A for India will be a ‘Made in India’ device.
At this price the Redmi 4A is surely the best in the segment when you look at the specifications. The Xiaomi Redmi 4A is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, includes 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage with microSD card expandable option up to 128GB. It has a 5-inch HD, a 13 megapixel camera on the back and a 5 megapixel camera on the front. It is backed by a 3120mAh battery and supports dual-SIM 4G VoLTE.
