The long awaited, much rumoured and extensively leaked OnePlus 5 is finally out in the market and we couldn’t be happier. Things were getting a little out of hand with the rumours and alleged leaks and its nice to finally have the production unit of the phone to use and see just how well it lives up to all the hype. OnePlus decided to go straight from OnePlus 3T to OnePlus 5 in their nomenclature as the number 4 is considered unlucky. The phone sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and a variant of the smartphone even comes with an incredulous 8GB of RAM. You may remember Carl Pei saying that 6GB of RAM in a smartphone was overkill anyway because there was no way apps could use up that much memory, so we wonder whether 8GB is actually of any practical use. Sure OnePlus 5 has a dual camera module, but does it live up to expectations? Does the OnePlus 5 live up to the “flagship killer” moniker and more importantly, does it deserve your hard-earned money.
