Over the last few years, Gionee’s products have had a mixed response from the market. While some smartphones have been a hit with the consumers, some have been a colossal miss. Having good specifications is not all that a smartphone needs, the device software should also be optimized and a price point which is justifiable to the user goes a long way in helping units move. The company recently launched the Gionee A1 Plus in India, one of the company’s first devices to feature a dual camera setup on the back. The Gionee A1 Plus comes with a decent specification sheet which pits the smartphone against the top of mid-range smartphones. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P25 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of Internal storage expandable up to 256GB with the help of a microSD card which takes up the SIM two slot in the Hybrid SIM tray.
